That is so wierd but thanks for checking. Just for information sake sombody asked about him because he turned the ball so much and was fun to watch, also throwing a blue dot. A lot of comments back and forth and all of a sudden poof its gone. I remember kingpin ( the one and only ) had a line in it that said he was a wossey or something like that.

The thread wasn't that good yet. It disappeared before I could get to some of the legendary Harrison stories, like leaving the 5-7-10 after the front 9. Or the CBA at D.L. South where he picked up a 10-pin in the first frame of game one, and 9 frames and 9 games later that was still his only spare (he still made the cut to Sunday).

I met Chris in 1983 and later recruited him to drive to Saxon lanes on Tuesday night when we formed the Sundial Realty team in the Saxon Straightaway on Tuesday nights. He was 21 then & bowled with Brad Subak,Terry Schroeder, Al Kushino, Jim Johnson and in later years Tom Corbett & Russ Ryss.
I remember many nights that Chris would drive back to Pine City after bowling.Thoses were the good old party time days.
Chris is a Ceramic tile contractor and has not bowled for many years. He did not need the reactive resin balls. Black Hammer was his choice.

Years ago Harrison road to Eau Claire with me for the CBA. I bowled A-squad (they used to have 3 squads),
he bowled B. I died & he made the cut, so he ended up rooming with Virg Enger (there's a match!). Usually
Harry liked to endulge in the pool night life, but Virg convinced him to sack in early. Next morning nobody
could hook the ball except Harry. Used his Blue Dot & played 15 & OUT & won the tourney.

I will try and recall most of the original thread, so here goes. I heard about Chris Harrison from Billy Johnson who told me that this new guy was bowling in the BPA Traveling League turned the ball like he had never seen before. Billy was not a turner so I asked Lindquist & Blad about him, and both said that they tried to get him to not turn the ball so much, but he would not listen. Blad said after a few years he quit bowling and then tried a come back with a couple of reactive resins, couldn't keep them on the lane and quit again for good. Chris is a tile layer and has done a couple of jobs for Roger Blad recently. There was also something about Sheesh's ball speed. Also a comment from Kingpin (the one and lonely) about Chris never could compete with reactive resins or something like that. This is all I can remember. Would welcome any new Chris Harrison stories. One time at Baden's stadium bowl Bill Baden tried to get Harrison to have a FREE armswing . He duct taped
a board to Harry's arm so it couldn't bend, after 15min. the board broke.....

Reminds me of the time we tried to get sheesh to clear the foul line by placing a towel on the foul line. The ball would stop when it hit the towel. After 15 minutes (2 shots) I fell asleep.

Harrison once rolled a 278-279-280 stepladder at Baden's in a spring league, which would have been a world record at the time. The score got thrown out because the paperwork for league sanction got turned in late.

Chris was bowling CBA Best Ball Dbls with Bob Micek, and one of the frames on Sunday Harry left a 10-pin and Micek left a 7-10 split. They had to decide who was going to shoot for the spare. Their decision: Micek's odds of making the 7-10 were probably better than Harry's odds of covering a 10-pin.
(sounds like a pile of B.S. but it's actually true)
PS the Duck picked it up. They also won the tournament.
